"No one deserves to be left in the cold,
7212 Riverside Drive
Extreme Weather Shelter
Guest intake until Midnight
We are here to serve those that need a place to sleep, for whatever reason. The Shelter is open to everyone, including families, free of charge, without referrals. We act as an emergency shelter for the Boundary Region, servicing the area from Christina Lake to the West Boundary, including Grand Forks , Greenwood and Midway.
We are a low barrier shelter, which means you do not need to be sober to access our hospitality. However, there is NO drug or alcohol use permitted at the facility.
To secure a bed, we ask that you arrive between 8 and 12pm.
Pets can be accommodated.
Our goal is to offer you, our guest, a place to stay for the night where you can get out of the cold weather and have a restful night's sleep without stress.
We have a secure storage for your belongings while you sleep.
Upon check in you will be greeted by one of our shelter workers who will guide you through a short registration process. Your belongings will then be stored and you will be offered any personal items you may need.
From there you are welcome to have a snack, relax, watch tv or just talk with one of our facility staff. You are welcome to stay for breakfast at “Whispers of Hope” , which is situated in our shared building, in the morning.
